Dear Marine Trade Stakeholder,
We are excited to announce the commencement of a comprehensive feasibility study aimed at establishing a marine trades workforce training center in Rock Hall, Maryland. This study, generously funded by The Upper Shore Regional Council, seeks to assess the viability and potential impact of such a center on the local economy, with a specific focus on meeting the workforce development needs within our thriving marine trades sector.
Rock Hall boasts a rich maritime heritage and is home to numerous marinas and marine-oriented businesses. Recognizing the importance of this sector to our community's economic vitality, along with the newly formed Rock Hall Economic Development Commission, we'll be working closely with Rivers & Roads Consulting to explore opportunities for targeted workforce development in collaboration with key stakeholders.
This feasibility study is a collaborative effort involving various partners, including local government officials, business leaders, educational institutions, and community organizations. Together, we aim to gather valuable insights and data that will inform the development of tailored training programs designed to meet the evolving needs of the marine trades industry in Rock Hall and the surrounding region.
As part of this study, we have designed a survey to solicit input from marine-oriented businesses like yours. Your participation is vital in providing us with valuable information regarding your workforce development needs, including the specific job roles, skills, and training requirements essential for success in the marine trades sector.
The survey responses will be analyzed to identify common trends, challenges, and opportunities within the workforce landscape of Rock Hall's marine industry. The findings will guide the planning and implementation of targeted training initiatives at the proposed workforce training center, ensuring alignment with the needs and priorities of local businesses and the broader community.
We sincerely appreciate your partnership and commitment to advancing workforce development in Rock Hall. By participating in this survey, you are contributing to the collective effort to strengthen our maritime economy and create pathways for sustainable growth and prosperity.
Thank you for your valuable input and support.
