The community-oriented redevelopment of the 60,000 sf Phillips Seafood packing house will bring a entrepreneurial energy to the Mid-Shore
Rivers & Roads is actively consulting with Cross Street Partners to develop a retail and placemaking strategy for The Packing House, a renovated packing plant for Phillips Seafood that will hold a mix of community-oriented retail, offices, co-working space, a shared commercial kitchen lab, and more.
“The project is the first step in a broader revitalization effort to restore food access, housing and employment opportunities to Cambridge and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The commercialization, research, production and active retail uses at the project will support local employment and inform nutrition and public health programming in the region.”
The Packing House will become the new gateway to downtown Cambridge, Maryland, bridging the gap between Interstate 50 and the Main Street core. The project will bring Cambridge-made goods, businesses, and arts to the greater region, putting the City on the map throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
