Jodie Schram is a strategist, communicator, and connector who bridges the worlds of construction, design, and community engagement. With experience that spans real estate development, marketing, and facilitation, she helps clients bring complex projects and initiatives to life — ensuring that every effort is grounded in both technical excellence and authentic community connection.
At Rivers & Roads, Jodie works with mission-driven organizations to strengthen communications, align stakeholders, and design strategies that move work forward. Her recent projects include developing a comprehensive communications and marketing plan for a human services nonprofit, conducting in-depth interviews with board members, volunteers, and staff to identify messaging gaps and build stronger community engagement.
Prior to joining Rivers & Roads, Jodie served as Community Manager at Cross Street Partners, a renowned development company specializing in adaptive reuse of historic properties. There, she led community engagement, tenant coordination, and design collaboration for The Packing House — a transformative adaptive reuse project in Cambridge, Maryland. She has also held marketing and operations roles with The Avalon Foundation, Eastern Shore Vacation Rentals, and Pursoma, where she built expertise in stakeholder outreach, brand storytelling, and project management from concept to completion. In addition, she co-founded a custom home construction company where she led marketing and project management efforts.
A lifelong learner and facilitator, Jodie also serves as a communications professor and a Certified Nature Therapy Guide, roles that sharpen her ability to listen deeply, build trust, and lead with empathy. She believes the most successful projects are those that align people, place, and purpose — a philosophy that guides every engagement she leads.
